Description

It's a very primitive version of the entire universe. The purple points are 'cosmic filaments', long strands of galaxy superclusters held together by dark matter gravity. Science has the neatest words! The blue points are galactic superclusters close enough to be barely visible. The white point is the cosmic filament they belong to, made white just so I can make out whether the game could pick the right one (in the actual game, the filament will unfold into the superclusters, and not remain as a point on its own). It all looks a bit dull, but the test was simple: Start with the entire universe, go to a filament, see it become a handful of superclusters. Go to a supercluster, see it become a handful of galactic clusters (not visible, too small). Go to a galactic cluster, see it become galaxies (not visible, too small). Go to a galaxy, see it become star clusters (not visible, too small). Go to a star cluster, see it become stars (not visible, too small). Go to a star, see it become a star with planets around (not visible, too small, and also the planets only become dots at this point, because the usual planet code is shut down for this test). It sort of worked. I got all the way down to planets. But there were some weird effects along the way.

In all, I am satisfied with the test. Much more work to do, but so far, so good...
