Plaid Star

I think this is the limit of what I can do at this point in terms of tesselation. There are still errors, but they are minor (none are shown in this picture), and they will A: Take a long time and a lot of risky rewriting to stomp out, and B: Disappear automatically when I do the next full reboot of the project. It's all math, I won't get into it here (short math-babble: Level of detail is boosted every time things get within 1/10 of distance since last boost. Next reboot will set it to 1/2, roughly multiplying level of detail by 3.5).

Anywaaaaay..... Expect this plaid pattern to disappear soon. It was designed to let me see the triangles ('polygons') clearly, for testing, but now has outlived its usefulness. I'm now going to begin making stars actually look like stars. After that, planets will be made to actually look like planets, as much as I possibly can. And again, I hope to squeeze moons in there, too
